Card Swap Birthday

Hi.  Yet another card from months ago.  I believe it was for one of my card swap group, but I may be wrong.  All products are from Stampin' Up.  I was particularly pleased with the colour combo.  I love the colour grey, much to my daughter's annoyance.  She was particularly rude when I painted my nails grey a while ago!

I haven't posted since my Scrapbags Retreat in the Easter holidays.  I know I mentioned the driving.  I was very proud of myself when I arrived, and felt that I had overcome a big hurdle.  I don't feel brave enough to drive on the M25 yet, but one day maybe!!!  I did have a lovely time and hope to post about it at some point.  Most of the layouts that I made were using SU DSP that I have had for a while, and I'm trying to use up.  I will try and take photos and show you, although some pages still need a few bits and bobs added to them.

I hope you are having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend,  Emily came home on Friday and we are taking her back tomorrow, so my weekend has been mostly about doing her washing!  We were planning to go to London today, but the rain and the fact that I'm a bit under the weather put us off.

Thanks for dropping by.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Take care

Scrapbags Spring Retreat - Part 1

Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending thee days at a scrapbooking retreat in a lovely hotel in Hertfordshire, organised by the lovely and amazing June.  The weekend was very relaxed, the company was great, as was the food - it was just fab!  June provided some beautiful layouts for us to complete as well as some fiendish quizzes for the more competitive of us!

I wanted to take a little Easter treat for all my fellow Scrapbags.  I was inspired by a video Lucy Tustian (a fellow SU demonstrator) made, and this is what I created.  All the products are Stampin' Up.

The grounds of the hotel are so pretty, and we were blessed with lovely weather, particularly on the Sunday.

It was a shame to have to leave on the Sunday afternoon.  I could have happily stayed for longer.  Tomorrow I will be showing you the layouts that I made, including my first Project Life layout,  Thanks for dropping by.  Have a lovely day.

Take care

Scrapbags Spring Retreat

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.  It made such a pleasant change for the sun to be shining.  Mark actually stoked up the barbecue tonight, although we ate inside.

So today's post is a break from card making. I thought I would share some of the pages I've completed for Emily's 18th birthday album  I made some of the pages the week leading up to my retreat (the children had gone to stay with their grandparents for the week), and some were made whilst I was away.

I had a great time.  The hotel was very comfortable, they fed us delicious food, regularly, and I was with a great crowd of people.  My attempts at teaching crochet to one of my fellow Scrapbaggers wasn't terribly successful, we had a real laugh anyway!

I've used a variety of papers and materials, but the keen eyes amongst you will surely spot the SU products!

I hope you enjoy.

Well, for those of you that stuck with it, I thank you!  Any comments, as always, are greatly appreciated.

Take care
