New Cards

Well, the week is nearly over, and I am really looking forward to the weekend.  It's been a week of madness at home and at work - the sort of week when you feel you are running just to catch up.  We've had SATs at school, which have gone well, but we are glad they are over, as well as too much going on at home - but we are nearly there.  And very soon it will be half term - hurray!

Anyway, on to the cards.  These are the cards I mentioned in my last post that I'm really thrilled with.  They are all a variety on a theme, but each very different.

The first card was for a young lady who I've know for 15 years - I'm struggling to accept that she is 16 now.

I started off by sponging a square piece of card with shades of blue, with different purples around the edge.  Then using a selection of purples and blues, and mainly SU stamps, I stamped the images all over the piece of card.  When I was happy with it, I cut it into quarters.  I scored a border on a white square card and mounted the panels inside the scored area.

The second card is for my sister, whose birthday is tomorrow.  I used yellows and oranges and stamped the images and sentiment in reds and oranges (all SU).

And the final card in this selection was made for a member of our card swap group whose birthday was yesterday.  Her name is Zoe and she likes purple.  I hope she liked this card. You can find her blog here .

Well, that's me done for today.  I'm off to Scrapbags on Saturday for my penultimate session before Emily's birthday - lots to do!

Have fun and take care.

  2. Great idea, Michelle; using the same layout but with diffferent colours and stamps/ They've all turned out beautifully. I love how all the different images go together so well, and give a lively effect. Have fun at Scrapbags. I am babysitting this weekend but hope to see you at next crop. Marina

  3. What an absolutely brilliant design Michelle! I love that you made three in different colours and with different stamps and that they all look so different. Enjoy your week! Vicky x
